SHONEN KNIFE @ SHIBUYA CLUB QUATTRO '04

Following on Sean’s first post of the month, I also have a confession to make.

I’m a virgin.

A Fuji Rock virgin, that is. In terms of live music I’m closer to a hardened Osakan granny, sharp elbows and all. You have been warned.

And since this post is also a first, I thought it appropriate to do a brief self-introduction.

*I have three passions in life: Fashion. Music. Writing.

*I’ll listen to virtually any band or style of music, as long as it’s good. (How’s that for vague?)

*I will be doing fashion checks. So be prepared to polish those rubber boots. Or muddy them up even more, if that floats your boat.

As for Fuji Rock ‘11 there are a ton of great acts I want to see, but here’s my shortlist of the nosebleed-worthy:  Shonen Knife, Kaiser Chiefs, Incubus and Glasvegas.

…or perhaps I’m just riding a wave of nostalgia lately.

If you see me around any of these shows, don’t hesitate to hand me a tissue. Bloodstained faces are so 1970’s and although certain trends make come backs, I’m pretty sure that one’s out for good.

And if you can’t make it to the festival, then maybe I’ll catch you at the Fuji Rock Days in Shibuya in a couple of weeks on the 11th and 12th of June.

Yoroshiku! (^-^)v

What acts are you most looking forward to seeing this year?

Want to join me in my flashbacks?  Check out 2004 live photos from Shonen Knife and Incubus to get you in the mood.
