Unfortunately, the gents were slotted at the exact same time as LCD Soundsystem (White Stage) and Hot Chip (Red Marquee) and a mere 50 minutes before the local debut of Atoms For Peace on the Green Stage. Situated right up front, sunglasses sporting percussionist Takahiro “Matzz” Matsuoka was a definite favourite as he added Latin-inspired flavors to the group’s tight vintage, soulful sounds. After his own solo, he later teamed up with drummer Sohnosuke Imaizumi during his with the fun array of bouncing beats created by the two further riling up already excited attendees.
