Human Cannonball and Wheel of Death
Quietly slipping in under the radar the other day (Don Coglione’s Crystal Palace update notwithstanding) have been some minor tweaks to the Fuji Rock 2010 line-up.
The complete Palace of Wonder, Gypsy Avalon, Day Dreaming and Silent Breeze details have been scheduled, as have announcements for the death spectacle that is the Palace Arena, Fischerspooner at All Night Fuji, and DJ Alexis from Hot Chip added to Sunday night’s Red Marquee lineup.Added to Sunday night at the Red Marquee:
- Stevie Salas (George Clinton’s guitar player) and Bernard Fowler (20-year Rolling Stones background vocalist who recently released his solo album Friends With Privileges on Sony Japan) present the I.M.F.’s
- DJ Alexis Taylor (from Hot Chip)

All Night Fuji adds electroclash survivors Fischerspooner and worldly trance dude Dino Psaras.

Fischerspooner
Outside of the The Crystal Palace, at the free Palace of Wonder area (and the Palace Arena) is where a lot of the late night action happens – and by action, I mean “action”. It’s seen the likes of Firetusk Theatre of Pain, Eddie Egal’s Fire Shower, the Mongolian State Circus, mutoid robot animals, the Lords of Lightning, the motorcycle Globe of Death and much, much more in the past.
This year we will see how far a Human Cannonball can travel (I hope) with some good ol’ fashioned Wheel of Death thrown in for good measure.
In addition, the full Palace of Wonder, Gypsy Avalon, Day Dreaming and Silent Breeze details are now available.
There have also been some minor schedule changes. Codeine Velvet club and Miike Snow have switched places at the Red Marquee with Miike Snow now appearing on Friday and Codeine Velvet Club now appearing on Sunday.
Oh, and Middle East has just plain cancelled.
