Some interesting additions here, including a second Foo Fighter playing on the Friday, Taylor Hawkins & The CoatTail Riders. With Dave Grohl doing duties with Them Crooked Vultures later in the day, can we expect a cameo on stage? Perhaps, as he has given his time as a guest vocalist (along with a slew of all star guests) on their April release Red Light Fever.

The announcement causing the most ripples is One Day As A Lion (pictured), Zack de la Rocha (RATM) & Jon Theodore’s (The Mars Volta) project. Chris Cunningham is billed as a “Special Guest” for the Saturday night, a billing that usually only makes it to the Sunday (this year the Scissor Sisters are the Sunday “Guests”). Narasirato Pan Pipers show the diversity of this years festival, a group of (yep) pan pipers from the Solomon Islands who should make for an interesting mid festival break on Orange Court Saturday afternoon. Lots of local favourites here too, including Bloodthirsty Butchers, and the jazzy fusion of Mountain Mocha Kilimanjaro and jazz-cum-dub of Naruyoshi Kikuchi Dub Sextet setting the far end of the site on fire Sunday afternoon. Some good late night entertainment in the Red Marquee too, with Frenchman Ivan Smagghe on the Saturday night, and Brits Horse Meat Disco as well as Swede Rasmus Faber doing duties to close out the festival on the Sunday under the Red Roof, things are looking good!
